Restorative Lavender & Sandalwood Face Serum 10ml

Our restorative natural face serum, with the antibacterial and antiseptic qualities of Lavender oil and sebum-balancing sandalwood, is particularly beneficial to those with oily, inflamed or acne prone skin. It is great for use night or day as a moisturiser. We have chosen base oils to soothe, regenerate, repair and hydrate the delicate skin on your face. Our blend includes nourishing Apricot Kernel Oil, antioxidant and skin-softening Argan Oil & regenerative Rosehip Oil.

THE BASE OILS

ORGANIC APRICOT KERNEL OIL
This light, nourishing and highly moisturising oil is cold-pressed from the soft fleshy centre of the Apricot stone. The high content of Oleic acid gives Apricot Oil a greater affinity with the skin compared to some other oils allowing it to absorb quickly into the skin.

ORGANIC ARGAN OIL
This non-greasy oil is cold-pressed from the kernel of the Argan Tree. Argan is known for it's anti-aging properties, due to high levels of Vitamin E and skin-softening saponins. It helps to reduce wrinkles by restoring the skin's water lipid layer as well as cooling and soothing inflammation.

EVENING PRIMROSE OIL
A soothing, balancing oil cold-pressed from the seeds of the plant. Evening Primrose, is high in anti-oxidants and is anti-inflammatory making it a useful oil for those with red or inflamed skin.

ORGANIC ROSEHIP OIL
This oil is cold-pressed from Rosehips. Rosehip Oil is high in Vitamin A and has been proven to help minimise the appearance of wrinkles, smooth skin and dramatically improve skin's moisture levels. A very healing and nourishing oil.

THE ESSENTIAL OILS

GERANIUM OIL
Distilled from the flowers, leaves and stalks. Geranium aids hormonal regulation and is very beneficial to women at all stages in life. Helps balance sebum production.

ROSE ABSOLUTE
Our supplier distils whilst the morning dew is still on the leaves to create the absolute.
Rose is hydrating and balancing, helping skin to regulate the production of oil for a dewy, refreshed complexion. Great for dry, red/irritated and mature skin.

FRANKINCENSE OIL
Incisions are made into the bark of the olibanum tree, which releases a white milky resin. When left, this turns hard into an orangey-brown resin, which is then steam distilled into the essential oil. Frankincense is a rejuvenating oil with anti-ageing and astringent properties helping to reduce pores and promote skin elasticity and a radiant glow.

LAVENDER OIL
Steam distilled from the flowering tops of the plants, this oil is calming and restorative to the skin. Lavender is one of the most versatile essential oils and has many benefits, including anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, soothing and healing properties. We use Lavender in our Restorative Serum mainly for its healing properties.

INDONESIAN SANDALWOOD OIL
This woody, creamy scented oil is extracted from the evergreen Sandalwood tree. We use Indonesian Sandalwood because it has managed plantations for the cultivation and replanting of the trees to ensure their sustainability. We add Sandalwood to our restorative serum for its hydrating and skin-tightening properties. It also smells incredible!

Prunus Armeniaca Kernel Oil** (Apricot Kernel), Oenothera Biennis Oil** (Evening Primrose), Rosa Canina Seed Oil** (Rosehip), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil (Argan), Santalum Album Oil (Sandalwood), Lavandula Angustifolia Herb Oil (Lavender), Linalool, Limonene.

After cleansing and toning your face, decant 2-3 drops of serum into the palm of your hand using the dropper. Gently massage the oil into the face and neck for 30 seconds, avoiding the sensitive eye area. Allow your skin to absorb the nourishing effects of the oils for 2-3 minutes before applying makeup.

Serum can be used day or night and even in between, especially during those harsh winter months!

(It might take a few tries to find the right amount of drops for your skin. If you find you've used too much, gently wipe away excess serum with a tissue. If your skin needs a little more hydration, go ahead and use another drop or two!)
